Your data belongs to you. Period.
At MacPath, we believe performance monitoring shouldn't come at the cost of your privacy. Our architecture ensures your system metrics never leave your machine.
Privacy Policy

1. Data Integrity and Locality
MacPath is designed with a "Local-First" philosophy. Unlike many monitoring tools that sync performance logs to the cloud, MacPath processes all CPU, Memory, and Network telemetry locally on your macOS device. We do not maintain external servers to store your hardware performance history.
Your monitoring data is stored in a temporary volatile buffer or a local SQLite database (if history features are enabled). It is never transmitted to MacPath or any third party.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not track which applications you are running beyond showing them in your local dashboard.
- We do not collect file names, browsing history, or personal identifiers.
- We do not sell data to advertisers, as there is no data to sell.
3. Anonymous Analytics
To improve MacPath, we may collect minimal, non-identifiable usage statistics (e.g., app version, macOS version). This is used solely to debug crashes and optimize performance for specific hardware configurations. Users can opt-out of this at any time in the Settings > Privacy menu.
4. Security
We leverage native macOS security frameworks to ensure that our application runs in a sandboxed environment where appropriate, preventing unauthorized access to your system resources while still providing accurate performance metrics.
